BROADWAY & FIREBOX: A DOUBLE DOSE OF NEW ENERGY FOR HULL’S CITY CENTRE
Propaganda Hull set to close, replaced by Broadway Party Bar & Courtyard and brand-new warehouse club Firebox on Saturday 14th June 2025
Say goodbye to Propaganda and say hello to Broadway & Firebox, a brand new dual-venue concept that’s about to switch things up in the city centre. Landing Saturday 14th June, this is more than a makeover. It’s a full-on reimagining of what a night out in the city centre could be.
Taking over the former Propaganda site and spilling into The Prospect Centre, Broadway Party Bar & Courtyard brings a fresh spin to familiar ground. It nods to the old Broadway Hotel while dialling up the atmosphere. Think bottomless brunches, cocktails on tap, tipi-style parties, and sun-drenched sessions in the expanded courtyard. Inside, it's all DJs, drag royalty, and feel-good chaos in full colour. If you've ever missed the Yorkshireman’s wild side, this might just be its spiritual successor.

But that’s not all. Firebox is firing up right behind Broadway on Mill Street. It’s a new warehouse space six months in the making, custom-built for the bass-heads, the dancers, and the ravers who live for a proper system. Kitted out with serious sound and lighting and enough soundproofing to shake the city without waking the neighbours, Firebox is primed for House, Tech, D&B, Bassline and anything else that hits hard and deep.

Broadway Party Bar & Courtyard, opening in the main bar area of the former Propaganda, is inspired by the former Broadway Hotel; a nod to the venue’s constant evolution over its lifespan. Broadway brings a new hands-up party vibe to the city, akin to the infamous former Yorkshireman pub on Lombard Street.

The launch party for both venues will take place on Saturday 14th June, with the invite-only VIP sneak-peek taking place from 8PM. The venues will then open to the wider public at 11PM and remain open until 6AM.
