NEW WAVE LIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL LAUNCHES THIS SUNDAY

Hull, clear your Sunday plans. A brand-new one-day festival is about to land, and it’s bringing with it the sound of tomorrow. NEW WAVE, presented by Under The Influence, takes over this weekend with a line-up stacked full of the UK’s most exciting rising artists.

“Every artist on this bill is on the cusp of something big — and this is your chance to say you saw them first,”
— Dean Shakesphere, New Wave / UTI Events

Who’s Playing

Headlining the day are The Covasettes, Manchester indie-rock heroes whose festival-ready choruses and sold-out shows have marked them as a band destined for the big leagues. Expect sweat, singalongs, and the kind of energy that makes Sunday feel like Saturday night.

NEW WAVE is about finding your new favourite band before the rest of the country catches on:

  • Brògeal – indie rock colliding with Celtic folk, banjo and all.

  • O’Phantom – Yorkshire alt-indie that drips with atmosphere and northern grit.

  • Keyside – Liverpool’s jangle-pop next big thing, already championed by BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music.

  • Florentenes – a powerhouse four-piece mixing indie grit with big, conceptual flair.

  • The North – Leeds indie with a punky edge, raw and unapologetic.

  • Wrkhouse – Welsh alt-indie tipped for huge things in 2025.

  • Vincent’s Last Summer – post-punk poetry meets indie sleaze chaos.

Why You Can’t Miss It

Social on Humber Street will be buzzing this Sunday with bands you’ll be bragging about seeing first in years to come. It’s fresh, forward-thinking, and made for fans who want to be in the room when it all kicks off.
